If you’re planning a trip to Chongqing, the weather should definitely be on your radar. What’s the best time to visit?
Now, as a local, I can’t really pin down one “perfect” month because honestly, Chongqing works year-round. Every month brings its own vibe to this 8D magic city.
But here’s the thing – if you’re the type who melts in heat, skip summer. July and August are usually brutal here. With our mountain terrain, imagine sightseeing under blazing sun while hiking up those steep hills… not exactly a vacation dream, right?
Most travelers find April, May, October, and November more comfortable – mild temps, not too extreme. Though fair warning: this April went full crazy on us. We cycled through all four seasons in one month, complete with a hailstorm just last week!
Honestly though? My final advice: Come whenever you can, just dodge July-September’s furnace heat. You can always layer up when it’s chilly, but when Chongqing turns scorching hot? There’s only so much ice cream and shade you can throw at that problem!
